Veronica

Technical Manager

Hi! My name is Veronica and I’ve been doing what I love for the past 20 years; helping and caring for animals. Not many people can say that, I’m one of the few that can!

When not at work, I spend my time keeping up with my sport-loving Fiancé and our two furry kids. I also spend time with my energetic, fun, loving niece or volunteering at her school. Family is important to me and I enjoy spending time and hanging out with my siblings, cousins, and friends.

In my spare time, you can find me relaxing reading a good book or out enjoying new place to eat.

Marco

My name is Marco. I am a full-time student at the University of California, Davis. My passion to become a veterinarian has always been part of my goals since I can remember, for this reason, I decided to apply as a veterinary assistant. So far, I have enjoyed working with animals and ensuring they maintain a healthy life. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and my animals. In my spare time, you can find me playing tennis with my friends or exploring the outdoors.

One thing most people wouldn’t know about me?
“I was given a rooster on my 10th Birthday as my very first pet! This rooster passed away a little before I turned 18.”

Alyssa

My name is Alyssa. Here’s a little insight on one of the Vet assistants who loves your fur baby! I was born and raised in the Bay Area where I played softball and volleyball. My family definitely helped me become the person I am today. My sister who showed me what hard work was and never giving up looks like. My mom was always my biggest supporter while my dad taught me it’s okay to go hands on in the trenches at the front lines.

My family moved to Modesto 4 years ago, I graduated with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology and plan on continuing my education towards a Bachelor Degree. Animals have always been a part of my life and I’m so thankful to wake up every day and get to do something I have so much passion for.

When I am not working, I am eating Spicy Food and spending every opportunity I can with my family. We love all outdoor adventures and sports. My Fiancé and I don’t have any little ones yet, but our fur baby Hazel and our nieces and nephews without a doubt keep us on our toes.

I look forward to meeting your fur baby and giving you the greatest peace of mind that they are being cared for and loved as if they were one of mine!

Melissa

My name is Melissa. I’m from Hayward Ca. born and raised. I lived on a quiet court that was close-knit and where my neighbors nurtured and helped grow my love for animals by letting me pet sit their fur babies and do some dog walking when they needed help. My mom was always helping the stray female cats and their liters. I have definitely taken on her love for strays.

For as long as I remember, I have loved animals and always knew I wanted to work with them. My dream as a child was to work in wildlife because how awesome would it be to get next to a lion! I decided small animal was more suitable and just as rewarding with all the kittens and puppy kisses.

My hobbies are spending time with my 4 children- 2 daughters, 2 sons. Anything I do includes them. We like to be outside at parks, go on walks, have BBQ/picnics, and go to movies. Binge Netflix shows (I have 2 teens, 1 preteen). We’re looking forward to getting our little one (almost 2) to the Zoo soon, one of our favorite places.

I do enjoy comedy clubs, concerts and good food with my Fiancé, sister, brother-in-law, and other good company.

Jenna

My name is Jenna and I am one of the veterinary technicians who works with your fur babies. I have lived in Newman for most of my life. Before starting at True Blue I worked a few other jobs while going to school at MJC. It took a long time for me to settle on a path but like most people in the veterinary field, I started working with animals because I love them and they have always been in my life.

I have found it to be extremely rewarding to help animals that are sick heal and get better, and of course hanging out with the occasional puppy and kitten doesn’t hurt. In my free time I love relaxing at home and watching movies or reading. I also love spending time with my family and going hiking, especially at the coast.

My love for animals has always been present in my life, but since starting work here it has grown. I’ve learned a lot these past 2 years working here, and I very grateful.
